It's my birthday so, wanted to have some fun with it. Mini thing in the alt text! But yeah, enjoy the quick messy doodle before I head off for work. And maybe send another cake or 2...

You knock on a door, a cake in hand. Last delivery of the day, you think to yourself. You glance down at the "Happy Birthday!" written on it, must be a party. Suddenly, you hear slow, steady and approaching thuds from the other side of the door. It opens slowly as a wall of red and cream opens it up. A sweaty, panting pile of dog tries going through it, first forward then sideways, getting stuck either way and having to pull. With a soft plop, he squeezes out and leans a bit against the frame before looking down at you, idly scratching at the red on his gut that looks to be worth 2 of you alone. The rest of him might be at least another 2. You're not sure but, after some panting and huffing, he finally talks, interrupting your train of thought. You barely register it but, you nod as you hand the cake over. Thoughts enter as you do. Is this all for him? 31 cakes? Is. Is that how many he's about to have? A part of you wants to know what that meant-

The door closes and the thuds recede. You take note of the address, considering the genuine possibility of doing a pass by later ..

Was chatting with folks about DnD characters in a server and the "start of the campaign vs end" came up and- i didnt realize how much shrieks neck was buried by the end let alone the rest... This was over the course of like. A year, year and a half at the most.
