STRIKE! On 28th Nov 1897, Tom Dunbar had to leave a reserve game at Hampden for an urgent call up at home after 3 Celtic players went on strike before a game against Hibs. Tom was overseeing the reserves and a carriage was sent for him to bring the Celts up to 10. Result: Celtic 1 Hibs 1 ☘️

Paul McStay is the only Scottish captain to lift an international trophy at a UEFA/FIFA tournament. 🎩 He led Scotland’s under-18 team to victory in the European Championships in 1982. Scotland knocked out a Dutch team including Marco van Basten before beating Czechoslovakia in the final.
