In 10 days it will almost be my late brother's birthday on 28.07. He passed away 2 weeks later just 5 months after Mum. I also lost my 18 y/o cat Toby. That was last year. 😔 Anyway, I've been having some difficulties with my mental health that I'm dealing with. I'll be back when things improve.

...tarrif is a dual rate so quite cheap at night to charge the car & charge the house battery at night if needed & so I can totally avoid using an daytime grid electricity. Just now that's how things are during this good weather but I'm thinking ahead to Scottish winters! Feel very fortunate! 2/2

Just now I have a 5kWh battery as a part of the Warmer Homes Scotland grant. Then there's the air source heat pump plus the 9 solar panels that generate up to 4kWh in direct sunshine. The front of my house is South facing. I plan to put a bigger battery in to total 20kWh. My electricity... 1/2

New solar owner here 🙋🏼‍♂️ - Yes the weather is good but even on a cloudy day, my solar panels are still running the house at about 600w. I'm watching my electricity bill collapse. I can do my washing for free on a sunny day and the air source heat pump becomes cheap to run. Solar is the future. ✊🏻

So it's another grey cloudy day here in South Ayrshire but at least it's mildish at 15.2C. And it isn't raining as it has all weekend. The solar panels are still generating though. They're putting out enough to run the house. It has been quite a revalation. 🤯😱

Over here I've just had a small 5kWh battery installed via a grant but I want to expand this to 20kWh of storage. The aim is to run the house on solar and stored off-peak (6.9p per kWh) grid electricity so that I'm not using peak rate electricity at all. 🤓

Up here in Scotland it's a mild but cloudy day. I have a 3x3 solar array. Each panel can generate 450W of power in bright sunshine. Even so, on this cloudy day, these panels are generating 0.69kW of power - charging the battery and running the house. I'm taking 0W from the National Grid. 🤯

Here's the clip where Boris Johnson describes throwing out so many gaffes that the media can't focus on any one gaffe. I'm pretty certain Trump has embraced this tactic but has extended it to corruption. I'm also pretty certain that Trump used his first term to prepare for what we're seeing today.

And now, the 5kWh battery is nearly full and the National Grid will. be getting my excess power all afternoon. I've set my battery to start discharging after 8pm until 11.30pm so that I'm not using peak rate. Once I get a bigger battery, things will become easier. The house will run itself.

Thought I'd run the dishwasher. As the sun is shining, the house is running on live sunshine and stored energy. Eventually, I want to cut peak time grid electricity use down to zero. The house will run on the overnight cheap rate, daytime solar and battery power. My night rate is 6.9p per kWh.

Morning All. At 7.20am this morning, I was woken by quite a noise going on outside. There was quite an intense thunderstorm going on. So, I opened my lightning app to see how big it was. As you can see, the whole area was covered by a rash of thunder and lightning. Quite something to hear! 😱
