Quakes win on a walk off (assisted by a Lake Elsinore error and their pitcher hitting a batter). What a great game--Every time I go to a baseball game I see something I've never seen before. This time, it was both teams combining for EIGHT errors, w the winners committing 5 of them
it has turned into an absolutely perfect night (alas, not for the Quakes--they've committed 4 errors 😬)
Good evening from Morongo Field, better known as The Epicenter, home of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (single-A for the LA Angels). It's the final stop on this week's California League road trip, and I am absolutely charmed by this delightful park.

It's a nice new park, definitely geared towards the "fan experience" as much as the game--which is fine, but that means there's...a lot. Almost a Disneyland feel with all the staff dressed like airline pilots and the whole airport/flight vibe milked for all it's worth
Good evening from ONT Field, home of the Ontario Tower Buzzers (we are in Top Gun country right here). This is a new team, single-A for the Dodgers, l and brand new stadium which has some cool dodgers touches, like the scoreboard and the Fernando Valenzuela mural

The San Joaquin valley portion of California may not be beachy or touristy, but I find it beautiful in its own way
Good evening from Valley Strong Ballpark in Visalia, home of the Rawhide (single-A for the Arizona Diamondbacks), one of the oldest continually-operating ballparks in the minors. It's a cool and quirky little park, and the vibes are immaculate ⚾
Good evening from Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, CA, home of the Ports (Athletics single-A). 79 degrees and breezy, and we're right on the river--just a sublime evening for a ballgame. Good thing I found one 🙂.
