Finally got the gift of my partner painting my nails. Things have been so busy that it has been hard to fit in. Feet have maroon with sparkles but I am not giving away feet pics for free! 😂
Last night I got to tick off something from my #MTG bucket list. I was able to play a game of old magic with Ante. About out to a new friend Martin, who played me with his old decks which contain only duplicate cards. This was a common tactic back in the day so you don't lose your good cards!
Did an exciting job interview today. They didn't offer me the jobyet, but the Director of Maintenance gave me a tour of the hanger. He introduced me to many of the other works and then said, "This is <name>, you will probably be working with them a lot." Saying the quiet part out loud a bit. ☺️
I have no idea about this group so I am bringing everything from peasant Valduk to Shrines. I want a good spread. To pair well with whoever I play.
If you told young me that I could get all of these cards from a gaming store for $5, I would have called you mad. Wild that these are just bulk. I still proxy extra copies of my shocks + fetches for special decks, but building a good manabase on a budget in commander is so much easier nowadays.
Its been a while but I am taking a long vacation. Finally. My partner's parents gave us their camper for a week and we are having a blast at camp. Swimming, playing boardgames and card games, and just living a full life with the family. I love the life I have with my nesting partner, Maggie. 🥰

All I wanted to see was this guy. I have no idea why I loved this card so much as a kid, but I can actually remember running around a playground with my back hunched and my arms swinging low. I was pretending to be this 'Mech.
Last night I bought an old collection of #Battletech CCG cards from an old man. I am super nostalgic for this game I played when I was a kid. Not only did I get the cards, I also split it with someone in my MTG play group who loves Mechs. We are now building decks and planning to play later! 😁
This is an iris light, I believe it is called. It allows the user to dim the light inside by a twist. This is important when you have an electrical system that is using a radio or 3. Dimming circuits of the time gave off a lot of noise and could muddle radio functions. Found on EMB-110 spare part.
Yesterday I was given the gift of flight from my nesting partner. 🛩️🤩 She bought me a discovery flight at my local flight school. I can't stop thinking about how amazing it was. Bucket list item for sure and it was just as I imagined. My heart is full. I have touched the sky by my hands. 🥰

Maggie, kiddo and I joined up with a local group of volunteers and cleaned up a stretch of road in our community. Not only did we help the planet, but the kiddo found a bunch of Pokemon cards on the side of the road!! It was a great wholesome day!
I helped an old timer appraise his collection. He hadn't played since some of the very first sets and had no idea he might be sitting on valuable cards. We found some amazing finds and he is so happy. We will also be playing old school magic with him next week.
I am still in the process of swapping out some budget/beginner toys for some real good stuff. Some day I could have that many high quality toys. Last V-Day I got this excellent suede flogger:

Ok, Insidious Roots is only creature tokens. So after they get turned into pepperonimen, they are mana dorks. Might be too situational. I found some fun little black cards you could add. A removal spell, a resilient threat and 2 cards that spell the plagueeeiiimean... fun! 😁
