Co-author of the upcoming comic, WADDLE (I’ll just say, when your friends become penguins, try not to flip out). Immigration is not only good, it is a companion in our moral evolution and an expression of our nature.
This was a contemporary remake of PALS if I remember correctly.
Months after this picture was taken, Joe Biden was howling about funding the police.
“Spring will come again.” A wonderful rumination by @chrisgeidner.bsky.social on time spent with the work of David Hockney.
Saw The Brutalist yesterday at the Angelika on 2nd Ave (ceiling pictured). I thought there was a joy to the filmmaking in the first half that was weighed down by the need to be profound in the 2nd. Haven’t been to the movies in a long while, so it felt great either way.
If this is hard to say, then there’s nothing left to be said. And if you’re hedging in any way when considering Musk’s (vile) character and (malign) influence, then you’ve said too much.
Heard he's taking the backpack off the market to avoid recreating a city-wide bowler hat scene from the Thomas Crowne Affair.
[Herzog narrates]: Without purpose, or their wits, the waddle of New York City’s finest lost the day’s narrative to a set of stunning eyebrows.
The whole city is going to look like the bowler hat scene from The Thomas Crown Affair.
“What’s a potential reason for such rapid, collective action?”
Not obvious or known to me, but a great find/thought! If you advance it slightly more, maybe even more so.
Googled “who was the C-list Kurt Russell” for a Hegseth & Kash joke I wanted to write, and I don’t think this is very nice (I hope Boston didn’t feel this way)
Feel like this is a good (ok maybe only decent) idea for a piece, or perhaps a book: the tale of these two pictures, and all of the threads that connect them (ok maybe a big book).
Hits. Hard. Thrilled this looks nothing like Thom Yorke. This version is nearly perfect in every way.
This GXPR has more of a five o clock shadow than a healthy beard. Interesting choice. Hopefully not replicated in any of the other live action versions. Don’t want to say the beard makes the man, but it makes this man.
F*ck he breaks her heart AND forecloses her mortgage! Is that in other versions (do we count the book when I ask this question? Boy that question is revelatory, and not in a good way. Shame on me).
I see there’s plenty of humiliation to go around in this version.
I told you that charity collector dude would always look the same!
Sure, but properly set expectations for opportunities to be charming, right?
This Tiny Tim looks a bit like Thom Yorke. Tiny Tom. Uh oh, getting ideas.
Jeez, they glazed over the good times with Belle (a quick kiss and a dance) and went straight to the turmoil. I needed much more time with them before it soured. These aren’t good times IRL.
