took some time outside this afternoon to get product pictures for the new big tea tins. Major Tom halped.

Two tea tins, one bigger than the other, sit in front of plants not much taller than them; behind the plants is a big truck tire. Both tins have labels that say 'painsomnia begone'. In the foreground, blurry, is a bunch of stripey grey fur; part of one paw peeks out, the only part of Major Tom that's in focus.

Loiosh, an orange tabby, is pretty much an orange lump at the bottom of this pic, but one folded down ear and the silhouette of his nose reveal that he's facing to the right. Towards Major Tom, a big grey tabby whose head is bowed over Loiosh's, tongue sticking out, in the middle of applying headkisses.

Long Ponderosa needles and twigs rest against the bark of the tree itself; tan pieces of the bark shed from the tree sit atop them. They are, indeed, shaped like puzzle pieces, if from perhaps a wilder puzzle than the usual.

Best #hagstone I've ever found, in Fountain Creek, #Colorado. They say you can see faeries if you look through these, but I'm not sure if I believe that.

Velhagen #Clock, #Alamosa, Colorado. Over a hundred years old, one of perhaps nine left out of more than two hundred made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company. It got pulled down in the 60s, & was restored & put back up a couple years ago, but I didn't really notice it until last fall. Beautiful.

Three lengths of steel wire sit on my workbench, each bent into a simple curlicue. They've been placed so that together they form a pleasing shape, and joined together with copper wire wrapped around them. The spaces between the wires have been filled with old beat-up washers and purple beads, all held in place with more copper wire.

Just applied to the #Alamosa Arts Gala with this piece, sing peace into his breast, which was made during Alamosa's ARTScape last year. Scrap #copper #wire, steel wire & street sweeper bristle found on the roadside while setting up my booth, beads from a couple friends.

A roughly triangular piece, framed by steel wire and a street sweeper bristle, filled in with hammered copper wire bent into curves and spirals. Purple and clear beads form lines between wires.

this is my sweet child:

Loiosh, an orange tabby, is seen pretty close up; his face takes up most of the photo. He is very deliberately not looking at the camera, not at all, not even a little bit. His ears are just slightly tilted back, and his eyes are yellow-green.

Loiosh is sitting on a short concrete wall, looking back over his shoulder. He's wearing a tigger sweater, and a green leash trails behind him. His tail is curled just so, and his ears are perked forwards. Beyond him is the Grand Canyon.

last week, I bought a small bag of brussels sproots, & in a surprise finish, today I actually roasted & ate half of them! ... look I'm bad at exist, that's all drizzled em with sesame oil, balsamic, minced garlic, & sea salt, & stuck em in the toaster oven on 350F until they smelled like food

He's washing his shoulder, vigorously; his tail is caught mid-lash, his ears are sticking out in various directions, his tongue is stuck all the way out and has fur stuck to it, and he's glaring directly at the camera.
