Views from the marsh for another timeline cleanse. Photographers ... which exposure do you prefer? 🤔
Yay or Nay? I've got a lead on a great price for a Gen1 DSP version. Always wanted to try it. Could definitely use it while tracking or sound designing with the synths. But.... there are other things that could benefit the studio, so it's not a quick decision. But... this price is super
Both the Dachman mics we have are daily workhorse tools. This one on upright bass, kick drum, etc. We also put the D87 up against my 1969 U87 and made shootout demos. There's a difference but its also in the same ballpark. (Click [v2] to compare mics) samply.app/p/tyRRKaYvL1...
RME released a new Total Mix v02. A welcome upgrade tbh. Proper full screen scaling.
New windscreen. Its amazing how far a simple design can advance in 20yrs. Radius Mini-Alto 180 holds two CMC6 ms pair like a champ #fieldrecording #soundEffects
Found this old Lichen/Robert AA Lowe split LP with Lexie Mountain... fun ride.
Important studio tool for getting a great acoustic guitar sound. All the best session musicians use these.
Doing a surround design today and trying out the updated Krotos Studio. This tool keeps getting better and better! I confess my bias... have worked with them and created a few presets and a lot of audio content for this platform. BUT... It's easy and fun for creating quick dynamic sound cues
By comparison... here are things I either own, or have used, that I understand and can deploy. It's the size, shape, and wind protection that have me confused about the AT design.
Is this the most absurd mic design of all time? Priced at $6k. I am a field recordist, work on films and TV, etc. I record immersive audio formats. I should be the target market.... and I have no clue when, where, or how this monstrosity would be useful.
A perfect day of recording Sk8r sounds. Ollie, grinds, kickflips, wheel noises, ramps, crash outs. #fieldrecording #soundDesign
Coming back to the studio and find this. Im lucky to share this space with those who try to be thoughtful and good humans. Lucky beyond understanding. I only want to give back forever. How? Dont know. Gonna try anyway.
