Reasons it would suck to be a Replicant:
* The government wants to exterminate your kind and is actively hunting you down while using euphemisms to make it's behavior.
* No one believes you're fully human. Some people call you slurs as soon as they detect what you are.
* People are dangerously paranoid about who might be one of you.
* You can absolutely never stop thinking about what you are
* You are never safe, and are in an unceasing position of choosing between staying where you have a target on your back and fleeing to where things may be even worse

The hacker managed to gain root access because the site runs on a version of FreeBSD that was last updated in 2016.
A non-insignificant portion of the janitors/mods that were doxed used .edu emails.
They managed to dump the source code.
Almost the entirety of 4chan is a badly formatted, mostly uncommented 10,000+ line file called in board.php
Some functions, like the one that makes a new post, are over 2000(!!!) lines long
