Bristol Zoo Project really feels like what all zoos ought to be: a conservation-first approach, large enclosures with lots of places to hide, it's definitely quality over quantity. I highly recommend a visit if you're ever in the area!

I can't say I particularly rate the museum, it made a lot of (to my knowledge) unsubstantiated assumptions about the rituals and religious beliefs of neolithic peoples without any strong scientific backing. But yeah, worth it for the gorge and caves for sure. Anyway, bonus squirrel photos :3
Car gripes aside, the gorge is absolutely stunning, especially Gough's cave. Well worth visiting if you're nearby~
Cheddar gorge is a stunning geological landscape almost entirely ruined by being filled with car parking end to end. Car infrastructure is truly the enemy of natural beauty.

Ok so... might be a long shot, but I saw two birds when out walking today and I cannot for the life of me identify them! They were somewhere around pigeon size, in woodland just near bristol. Unfortunately this is the only photo I was able to snap as they flew off... any guesses??
