Timex absolutely refuses to let me look at his wound today. I'll be taking him to the vet Monday for a follow up evaluation, at least. He's a handsome man who did not deserve to be in this situation. #feralcat #communitycat

I went onto the balcony to add water to the pan I keep out there for the birds. Both cats wanted out too and they're soaking up all that delicious hot air now. Little weirdos.
Hello July we meet again over a bagel out when we have bagels at home.
He's very scared but seems a little less so than this morning. Hopefully he's starting to associate me with all the food he can eat. I think he's had 5 cans of food today.
I have doubled Timex's space! I ziptied the cages together, with the larger one being bedded with pellet litter. I have a fork to section off parts of the trap, so I can clean the trap when he's in the cage part. When I need to clean the cage, I'll close the drop door and cut the ziptie.
New thread about Timex, the community cat with a bad neck wound that I trapped yesterday and got to the vet. He's recovering well, about to have breakfast. I'll be transferring him to a bigger cage for a while soon but need to get pellet litter to put in it first, since he was neutered too.
For anyone ghoulishly interested, this is the wound, neatly stitched. It looked even worse when I brought him in.
Big man is neutered, eartipped, stitched, given antibiotics and pain medicine, and is chilling in a bigger cage with some kitten food when he gets hungry.

Just dropped EA (community cat) off with a woman who manages a pet store and volunteers for Furkids, a rescue group here in Atlanta. She's going to put him up for adoption at her store. I really hope he gets a forever home soon!
If anyone in Atlanta wants a slightly scrungly starter cat, may I suggest either of these boys? They're neutered and getting really friendly. I'd help with vet costs.
I got my new badge from @goobakery.bsky.social !! It goes with the zebra tail I made to sell, but when it didn't sell I kept it and have worn in to multiple cons now. Might as well have a character to go with it!

I saw the injured cat again this morning and put the trap out, but no luck. I was hoping after his breakfast of cheapass friskies he'd like a big chunk of sardines, but no. I'll keep trying. (Injury not visible in the photo.)
