It's been a few years since I ran the Not Since Moses Run, but I'm doing it again this year: a 10km run across the ocean floor at low tide in the place that has the highest tides in the world. And they have a fun shirt this year!

More animation: I caught up on Invincible seasons 3 and 4 recently. Great story, amazing character development, passable animation, and ludicrous violence. It's a lot of fun if you're a fan of superhero comics or adult sci-fi.

I finished the first season of Widow's Bay, and I quite enjoyed it. It's like Jaws + The Fog + Northern Exposure + The Shadow Over Innsmouth, but funny as well as spooky. And all anchored by an excellent performance from Matthew Rhys.
Saw Spider-Man: Brand New Day with my kid last night. Better than most of the recent Marvel bloat. Some good emotional notes, and cool action. Some fun crossover setup for Avengers: Doomsday. Nothing will match Raimi's first two Spider-Man films, but this was still quite good.

Season 9 of Rick & Morty released its final episode last night. This season was quality: funny, disturbing, and with lots of wacky high-concept sci-fi rigmarole. It's up there with seasons 1-3.
I just watched The Odyssey. It was fantastic. It was an epic telling of one of the original and greatest epics. He shot this film entirely on 70mm IMAX film, not digital. And Halifax has one of just 41 projectors in the world that can show that format, so I saw it here. It looked amazing.

I just finished the third season of Primal, which was released earlier this year. It's incredible, emotional, wildly fantastical, incredibly violent, adult animation. This, and Samurai Jack, show how visionary and talented Genndy Tartakovsky is. Epic in every sense. www.imdb.com/title/tt1033...
The Aisle24 self-serve always-open store on Robie St in Halifax has been closed since May due to a rent owing dispute. That's a shame. This store has saved me a couple of times.

The Independence of the Seas, currently docked in Halifax, was the largest cruise ship in the world when it launched in 2008. It's now somewhere between the 30th and 40th largest.
