Now playing: Madlib Medicine Show no. 8 - High Jazz. Artwork: Jazzcats Crossing the Hudson
I’ll be making some noise tomorrow night at Bar Centro. Milwaukee peeps: Come celebrate Fat Tuesday with the Big Style Brass Band!!
For everyone saying the Bucks should have traded Giannis, please tell me: why didn’t the Warriors trade Steph Curry after finishing 15th and 9th place in the West in consecutive seasons? Boy that was really stupid of GSW! What was Steph thinking?!?
Listening to to jaimie branch. Praying for amerikkka. Sounds like a requiem this mourning.
BlueSky, I’m thankful it exists. But when another person was executed in MN, I can’t seem to find a post with Breaking News describing what is happened. Also, here is what’s trending:
Whoa! Bucks managed to just barely lose by 20 points! Not bad at all compared to losing by 80!! In fact, they should be quite proud of their effort!!
Mentally preparing myself for the Bucks to lose each quarter by 20 points and lose this game by 80 😵💫
Good Hoop Theory game right now. Predicting the Hawks come back and win this one since they have the good hoop for Q4.
Now playing: Air! Great quote on the back of this one: “…ready or not, all around my goose is it….”
Happy 11th birthday to one of the greatest record labels ever: @intlanthem.bsky.social Thank you for all the great music you’ve put out in the world! I always look forward to whatever is next :)
White Teeth was so good. And one thing I appreciated was a character admiring Muhammad Ali’s bravado. He called himself the greatest of all time… not the greatest current boxer, but of any time: past, present, or future. The expression “goat” has gotten so overused that it has lost meaning.
Coltrane & Cherry - The Avant-Garde This is an album that I thought I didn’t like very much. Developed that opinion about 10 years ago. Decided to listen to it today and now I can’t remember why I disliked it? Funny how opinions change as we misremember details…
I tried posting this on Instagram, but the video turned upside down… here I am trying to play “Wait” by Jeff Parker. The accelerando was a result of a damn fine coffee… The original song can be found on Eastside Romp by the JP trio. Also, Tortoise recorded an earlier version.
