White Teeth was so good. And one thing I appreciated was a character admiring Muhammad Ali’s bravado. He called himself the greatest of all time… not the greatest current boxer, but of any time: past, present, or future. The expression “goat” has gotten so overused that it has lost meaning.

Coltrane & Cherry - The Avant-Garde This is an album that I thought I didn’t like very much. Developed that opinion about 10 years ago. Decided to listen to it today and now I can’t remember why I disliked it? Funny how opinions change as we misremember details…
