The Fishers PD doesn't participate, but the Hamilton County sheriff (where Fishers is located) signed a jail enforcement model agreement last March. Like many urban counties in red/purple states, Indianapolis' county government (Marion County) has not signed on, while surrounding counties have.

This is a bit strange. According to the @pressherald.com live updates, a CBP official said the agency wasn't involved in today's shooting — but also said CBP officers "did offer medical support" at the scene. So...CBP officers were there, but weren't involved? www.pressherald.com/2026/07/13/s...

Border Patrol says it wasn't involved in operation
Ryan Brissette, a public affairs officer for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said Monday afternoon that the agency was not involved in the event but "did offer medical support" on scene in Biddeford.

He said the medical support was ultimately not needed, and referred a reporter to ICE for further information about the shooting."

SHALIMAR, Fla.- Today, Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia awarded nearly $1.4 million to assist with immigration enforcement for Florida law enforcement agencies. The agencies awarded today are the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia said, “Florida has led the nation in anti-illegal immigration efforts, and we are second to none when it comes to supporting our law enforcement officers. They are out in our communities every day working with our federal law enforcement partners. My office will continue to stand alongside President Trump and Governor DeSantis in their mission to deport criminal illegal aliens out of our country and state, and keep our communities safe.”

Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden said, “This funding strengthens our ability to arrest and detain criminal illegal aliens. These individuals who seek to cause harm to our citizens do not belong in our state. I am grateful for CFO Ingoglia’s continued dedication to protect our citizens and our deputies from the negative impacts of illegal immigration.”

OCALA, Fla.- Today, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia awarded over $166,000 for immigration enforcement to local law enforcement agencies. The agencies that were awarded today are the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Town of Cross City.

Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia said, “The Biden administration not only allowed reckless illegal immigration across our borders, they intensified it. However, under President Trump and Governor DeSantis, we have cracked down on removing criminal illegal aliens off our streets. I am thankful for the dedication and tireless efforts of our law enforcement partners who have worked tirelessly to keep Floridians safe.”

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods said, “Illegal immigration has impacted every community across the nation. The money awarded to my office by the State Board of Immigration Enforcement helps ensure the safety of our deputies by giving them the tools to do their jobs safely and efficiently.”

Cross City Police Chief Jamey King said, “The funding awarded by CFO Ingoglia strengthens our police department’s capabilities to protect citizens from the negative impacts of illegal immigration. Thank you for having our back while we arrest and deport criminal
illegal aliens.”

Local law enforcement agencies receive funding through the State Board of Immigration Enforcement for reimbursement of immigration enforcement activities. The Immigration and Nationality Act, under the 287 (g) agreement, allows state and local law enforcement to partner with ICE and provide bonuses to law enforcement officers who are trained under the agreement.

There was a confirmed detention in West Humboldt Park this morning at Thomas and Long and possibly Augusta and Lamont and Chicago and Laramie.

The vehicles involved include a gray SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, and a blue SUV, possibly a Subaru. ICE may still be in the area! Stay home!

Lots of ICE activity in Chicago and the suburbs today. Four arrests were just confirmed in Brighton Park + Back of the Yards by the SW side rapid response team.

The Southwest Rapid Response Team confirmed that two people were detained by 47th St and Damen Ave. and another two people by 47th St and Fairfield Ave.

Agents in the area were seen wearing black "POLICE" vests and driving at least four unmarked vehicles, including a white SUV, a black SUV, and a dark grey pick up truck.

"According to a federal civil rights lawsuit filed June 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois by Williams’ mother Jacqueline Hoffman, Williams’ family alleges Evanston police used “excessive force” while attempting to restrain her and failed to intervene when Williams demonstrated signs of trouble breathing.

Williams was later taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston by first responders after suffering from cardiac arrest during the encounter, the suit alleges.

She remained in a coma until the time of her death, her family said."

Put another way: Over 51 million U.S. residents live in one of the 509 counties with an active Task Force 287(g) agreement. And nearly 10 million residents live in the 805 municipalities with local-level Task Force agreements.

And here's that same map filtered for the 509 county agencies with Task Force agreements. In these jurisdictions, it's reasonable to presume at least some of the sheriffs' deputies are designated as "Task Force officers" (TFOs) that can make immigration arrests during routine traffic stops.

How does the 287(g) program expand the 'top of funnel' intake into the deportation machine? Here's a filled area map of the 847 U.S. counties with county-level agencies (again, mainly sheriffs' offices) participating today. That's nearly 27% of the 3,144 counties (and parishes) in the country.

Over on LinkedIn, a legal tech evangelist and Josh Kubicki (a professor at Indiana Law) are praising "Dr. Karp" for his appearance on Squawk Box this morning. This is the legal establishment. Privileged men, genuinely convinced their careers are more important than what's happening around them.
