Vigilante Vance is essentially the personification of intrusive thoughts we can get when we're mad at the world. He's the rebellious little voice in your head made manifest. He's the phrase "don't you just wanna go ape shit?" if it were a person. And thus, he's fun & therapeutic for me to draw.
My Most Useless Earth Day Related Fun Fact: The DVD of SpongeBob's Pest of the West special was released around Earth Day in 2008. So certain copies had a bonus disc titled "Green 2 Go", which featured environmentally-conscious episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Danny Phantom, and ChalkZone.
I've decided to give Vance a friend--the Peter Puppy to his Earthworm Jim. He lets Vance crash at his house since he hates participating in society too much to have his own. No name yet, but he's basically Rocko as a tiger. Clothes to be added later.
Probably setting myself up for disappointment, but I really hope at least one of them is Nickelodeon related. Maybe they can take a hint from LRG and do a collection of straight ports, but for GCN/PS2 era games? I just want something like this to finally exist:

I HAD AN EPIPHANY I made the accents of the vest amber to represent the energy it shoots through Vance when he wears it, which is also represented in his eye. Speaking of, I tend to cheat which eye has the energized iris--it's whichever one is closest to the camera.
I'm not the best with color theory, so I'm open to critiques and/or suggestions for the color scheme of the vest or Vance in general. (same goes with critiques on the overall character design)
Playing with the colors on Vance's vest. It's a high-tech piece of clothing that houses many weapons and enhances his abilities, so I figure I need to draw the eye to it more. He swiped it from a generic corpo agent of sorts, so I went with an Amazon employee color scheme first. Does it look okay?

Vance wasn't always my deranged Wario/Earthworm Jim mashup expy. I first thought him up for a very different idea. On the left here is a drawing of him dating back 16 years, currently hanging in my dad's office. On the right is my most recent drawing dating back only a few minutes ago. 1/
