When you install a mesonet station in this part of Louisiana, you get a 1/2 lb cracklins and a couple of boudin roll ups for the road.
We’re back in the sugarcane this morning installing Louisiana Mesonet site 36 in Maringouin, LA. It’s a warm one!
Most of the rain came in a ~30-45 min period at the leading edge of a nasty MCS. Example from the ULM campus site showing intense rain rates from about 5:45am through 6:15am
Two stations on the edge of that, but not IN the bullseye. Womp womp. One of those stations has 7.5” today though.
The deep dish/stuffed pizza gets all the press, but the cracker crust tavern pizza is the real move in this city.
