Generative Ai models such as chatgpt, sora and midjourney steal from artists/photographers/ writers/translators/3d modelers and uses
millions of creator's work without permission. ANY use of gen-ai in any creative industry is denying a skilled creator a job.

Generative Ai models use an incredible amount of energy to answer a single question or generate one image. Ai data centres require a lot of electricity and water to cool down the hardware and they also produce a lot of electronic waste. This is having a detrimental effect on our environment, effecting us and our plant's wildlife.

There is NEVER an ethical excue for using generative Ai.

Not only is it morally and ethically wrong, gen- ai responces often include incorrect information or fabricated truths. Photos created via gen-ai are becoming increasingly more difficult to spot, leading to potentially dangerous misinformation.

Gen-ai data centres are primarily built in BIPOC and low-income communities, exposing them to harmful waste and increasing electricity costs. This is by choice. Gen-ai data sets have been shown to express a bias against non-white communities.

I've been a digital artist for over 30 years. Not only do I not use AI, I've switched from sculpting in Z-Brush w/ physics based rendering to 3D printing, assembling & fabricating the finished pieces by hand. Because there is no soul in the machine, every imperfection and quirk is mine alone.

Grammarly wants to know if I'm taking a break from writing.🙄 Nope. I'm taking a break from Grammarly—pushing AI slop that impersonates writers and plagiarizes from them is reason to make it a permanent break. Plus Grammarly can get fucked with the gamified bullshit—writing isn't steps on a fitbit.

Nothing wrong with subjecting policies to scrutiny, but the time-is-money argument is... charitably absurd. No, saving half an hour a day wouldn't net a rider an extra $10. That's not how clocking in/ out works. And they'd still have to subtract the $2.90 fare. $7 for express. Each way.

This may be too clever by half, but I happen to agree with Senator Lee. Right-wing violence, particularly this form of fascistic, evangelically inspired vigilantism, is what happens when even the mildest left critique is maligned as extreme, while actually extreme right-wing bigotry is normalized.

The idea that Republican 'school choice' efforts were targeted at helping low-income families get into private or charter schools is ludicrous. School choice has only ever been about defunding public education.

A paragraph from the linked article reading, "School choice has long been a cornerstone of the GOP agenda, with a significant number of Republican-led states freeing up more funding in recent years for low-income families to send their students to private or charter schools."

The claim expressed in this paragraph is a lie.
