Who knew the hard times were the good ol’ days?
My homemade granola is ready to hit the oven and have my apartment smelling delicious.
LOL a comfort bird is a carved wooden bird that is shaped to fit in the palm of your hand and sanded down to be nice and smooth. People use them sort of like worry stones. Basically I want to make one that is fully carved by hand with knives (whittling) but a lot of the tutorials use power tools.
Made some chocolate chips cookie bars from a recipe I saw online. They came out sooooo good and it only took 35 mins from start to finish.
Just hit 100 books for the year so far. I brought down my reading goal from 350 to 250 this year to accommodate my other hobbies, but I’m still doing pretty well.
I finished the stitching on the back piece. I moved on to the side buckles that will go on the large strip. I had to take a few days break so I didn’t get it finished by today (her birthday) but she knows it’s coming.
I still have to stitch the second row but I need to give my hands a break. I think this is the hardest part so far, stitching through all three panels. But I'm getting there.
Finished the top flap. Look at that smooth curve. ☺️ Now I will connect it to the back piece.
If you are the kind of person who needs a headlamp for stuff, I absolutely recommend this one. I got it for $20 but I’m sure you can probably find it cheaper. But it’s absolutely worth it if you need headlamps.
I think this is probably one of the hardest parts. The top flap is longer than the inner flap, so to see them together it has to curve after a while or the holes don’t line up. Gotta stop for the night because it’s hell on the hands.
Now I have to sew these two pieces together. It’s the top flap. This piece, once put together will get sewn to the back piece and flip over top. The top of the lock will be sewn where those two larger holes are at the bottom there. (One of the holes is covered by my clip)
Front pocket put together so it’s time to secure it to the front of the bag.
Now it’s time to sew the strap that will create the purse’s front pocket.
In a lot of pain so I’m not going to work today. Figured I would get back to work on my mom’s purse. Right now I’m stitching the lock to the front piece.
Making my mom a leather handbag for her birthday next month. Got all the punched holes clean for all the pieces, and now time to sew! (My favorite part)
Haha omg. Progeny windy just cracked me up. It reminded me of this tiktok I saw about a kitten ceramic someone made and accidentally dropped on the floor, making it squished. Looked like when someone opens the door and it’s super windy out 🤣🤣🤣
Aaaaand I come across another one. This lady is a manager for a public storage company. She lives on site. Did an apartment tour. In her bio is her city. It’s not hard to figure out now where she lives. And now her floor plan is exposed. People make it too easy to stalk, rob, and hurt them.
This is crazy. If you have to use chat gpt to help you figure out something a 2 year old can do, you are seriously fucking brain rotted. This is what folks are wasting our resources on. Unbelievable.
Got this 2-key keyboard and it’s the best page turner ever now that I have an android based e-reader.
I used the morning to make some bread to have with my coffee though 😁
