Question for the #WarhammerCommunity Hive Mind. I have a Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titan awaiting in the forge. Any good paint recommendations for the signature dark, mottled green-black armour? #AdeptusTitanicus #Wargaming
Next up for Legio Gryphonicus. A Warbringer-Nemesis Titan. #WarhammerCommunity #AdeptusTitanicus #LegioGryphonicus
Just the base left as the third and final Legio Gryphonicus Warlord Titan. #WarhammerCommunity #AdeptusTitanicus #LegioGryphonicus
Multiple projects progressing simultaneously. Napoleonic French Line Infantry Regiment with attached Line Artillery Battery. Warlord Games Epic Battles scale. All rebased to MDF, with expanded (40x40mm) bases for Arty. #Wargaming #WarlordGames
Artwork has arrived. After more than a year, the WarCabin is finally moving closer to being fully finished. #Wargaming #WarCabinf
Two new table layouts coming to the WarCabin. 6x8ft proper games of Adeptus Titanicus / Legions Imperialis; and, muddy fields for Napoleonic Wars and Warhammer Old World. #Wargaming #WarCabin
Just found Adeptus Titanicus gold. Legio Gryphonicus, Legio Mortis and Legio Ignatum transfers. Guess that’s more Titans inbound so! #WarhammerCommunity #AdeptusTitanicus #Wargaming
About to light the Forge to finish the remaining Warlord for Legio Gryohonicus. A quite cathartic paint pot sorting session first however! #WarhammerCommunity #AdeptusTitanicus #Wargaming
1:1 scale hobby today. With military artwork en route, it’s time to whitewash the wargaming table as the WarCabin moves closer to being fully decorated and finished. Hoping to host a lot of gaming and visits over the coming Winter Campaigning season and throughout next year! #Wargaming #WarCabin
As the Forge slowly comes back online, a second Warbringer-Nemesis Engine for Legio Gryphonicus (finally) begins to take shape. #WarhammerCommunity #AdeptusTitanicus #Wargaming
Magnificum Incendius, Legio Ignatum walks again… #WarhammerCommunity #Epic #OldHammer #Imperator
The last model I painted prior to leaving for UK ACSC last summer finally starts basing. Represents Maréchal de Camp Baron Guiton, 2nd (Cuirassier) Brigade, 11th Cavalry Division (Kellermann’s III Reserve Cavalry Corps), Waterloo campaign. 28mm metal Perry Miniatures figures. #Wargaming
Slowly spinning up the WarRoom after a year long absence. £140 worth of MDF multibasing goodness ready to start my Epic (and non-Epic!) Napoleonics. #Wargaming #Napoleonics
Back in Wicklow after the last year attending the UK Advanced Command Staff Course in Shrivenham. Dusting down the WarCabin and delighted to find my LC:IP 2e waiting for me. Absolutely love these games, so looking forward to hosting plenty of wargaming in the coming months! #Wargaming #WarCabin
Now that’s some glow up! Teleporting directly from 2nd to 11th, Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub is back!! Very hard to resist collecting a new Ork Army now and maybe just using older edition rules now… #WarhammerCommunity #WH40K
Also… there’s a whole heap of 28mm Napoleonics to work through. #Wargaming #Napoleonics #WarCabin
With ACSC complete and a return to Ireland looming, I’m really looking forward to a resumption of (heavy) armoured Cold War gaming at the WarCabin in the coming weeks. Will be upgrading my British forces from Chieftain/FV432 to CR2/Warrior standard in October, it seems! #ColdWargaming #Wargaming
Our individual AoS: Spearhead league took place Monday, as the sneaky Skaven came looking to snatch the series. Aided by warpstone powered artillery and seemingly inexhaustible Clanrats, they did just that - clinching the title 7-6 wins after months of super gaming! #WarhammerCommunity #AoS
Final evening with the Academy Gaming Club saw us let fly with Age of Sigmar Spearhead Doubles. A twinned Ossiarch Bonereapers and Lumineth Realm-Lords match up. Manic scrambling for objectives, cutthroat fighting and just great fun! #WarhammerCommunity #AoS
Had a cracking game of 28mm ACW. A fictional scenario being played tested that saw my Union Division force the river crossings to deliver a comprehensive victory. The Irish Brigade were instrumental in the attack! #Wargaming #ACW
Absolutely cracking Age of Sigmar: Spearhead game this evening, with the Ossiarch Bonereapers Mortisan Elite fighting against my Sylvaneth Bitterbark Copse. It went back and forth across the 4 turns, before ultimately finishing 15-15 for the draw. Just superb fun! #WarhammerCommunity #AoS
Needs paint stripping, a small clean up, its legs re-pinned and a nice base, but was very lucky to finally acquire an old-school Emperor-class Titan at the weekend. A single model, nostalgia project that will ultimately become Magnificum Incendius, Legio Ignatum. #WarhammerCommunity #Epic
Getting back to Age of Sigmar - Spearhead now that staff exams and dissertation are completed. Have to say it’s one of the most fun, enjoyable and challenging games I’ve played in a long time. Absolute little cracker, GW. Top marks! #WarhammerCommunity #AoS
Assembled some Aeronautica Imperialis stiff over the last few months. Going to give this a go once home later in the summer. #WarhammerCommunity
Today (29th May) is International Peacekeepers Day. Consider myself very privileged to have worn a Blue Beret as an Irish Army Officer in Lebanon, Western Sahara and Syria over the years. Thinking of all my DF colleagues at home and overseas today.
Happy Weekend, folks. Hype building - off to Warhammer World tomorrow for the annual pilgrimage. Accompanied by Mrs. Egan this year, for her first visit too! #WarhammerCommunity
