Beautiful scenes launching The Spectre of Pep, so many great people there to celebrate what @jonmackenzie.bsky.social has accomplished. What a night! What a book! What a man!
New paperback edition of @jrcooper26.bsky.social’s alternative history of #lufc has landed, now with added DCL on the cover. It’s out next week and if you love weird stats and trivia then this is the only book on mighty Leeds you need
THIS is the good stuff. If you care even the slightest bit about how football has evolved on the pitch over the last 20 or so years then you have to read it - yes Pep is obviously central to that, but it's about much more than just him. An incredible piece of work from @jonmackenzie.bsky.social
That was absolutely class, proper on your feet stuff on that final stretch for the world record. Well played Josh Kerr, heroic effort
Pep leaving City? Boy does @jonmackenzie.bsky.social have the book for these times. IT’S ALMOST LIKE WE PLANNED IT geni.us/TheSpectreOf...
Been such a joy working with @danieldylanwray.bsky.social over the last few years on his book, and last night’s huge event was both a fitting celebration of publication day and of Sheffield’s vast music history. Incredible to see hundreds of the city’s finest out in force to show their support 🙏
Friday night was one for the history books. The kind of event you only get with someone like @reversediorama.bsky.social
We call it confusion in the best way possible. Idlewild in Nottingham last night, another reminder why they’ll always be up there as one of my favourite bands of the last 30 years
Can’t imagine there are many #lufc fans out there who still own a mug featuring the likes of Jason Crowe, Tresor Kandol and Mickey Doyle, but if there are I hope theirs is in better nick than mine. Think it’s time for the bin UNLESS we get something today, in which case I’ll keep it forever
The simple joy of going to a lower league football match on a cold and rainy day between two teams who you have no strong feelings about either way
Sure putting on your winter coat for the first time that year and finding a forgotten £20 note in the pocket is great, but have you ever put on a coat and found a Pear Tree Productions pen?
Generally been sanguine after our defeats so far this season but today was really, really concerning. Crumbled immediately after scoring, no clear shape or direction, late/ineffective changes, and a squad that fundamentally didn’t look good enough. No positives whatsoever. Anyway happy Sunday. #lufc
Stach capturing how I - someone who lives in Nottingham, 5 mins from the City Ground - have felt all week. #lufc #westbridgfordwhites
