I also think these people are like 6 to 9 months behind in a world that is changing super fast. Code generation has been the tip of the spear for actual business value creation and the economics are not obviously workable. Anthropic just made a pricing change that'll have a real cooling effect.
In one move @wfyi.bsky.social has lost 20 years of brand equity with me, I had planned to reduce my sustaining membership and now I'll be canceling it entirely. TBC, they let you _increase_ it via the online portal, but you have to call to reduce it.
As a person who makes software, I have complicated feelings about the prediction that the robots are going to eat all the software. Then I interact with the some software, and I'm like, idk, maybe the robots can do it better. (This is from my 4th and best payment experience of the day)

Shaping up to be a really solid technology day over here in Tony Town. Internet connection at the office is terrible and they claim its just me, gmail won't load in the browser with an ominous "temporary error", claude is intermittent, Slack won't let me switch to a different org. Good view though.
