Just started watching it. The textures and backgrounds look so wonderfully made-on-paper, which in today's time when that is gradually disappearing from our art, I welcome with open arms. Also Sitaru is a cutie.
Variety has actually since posted an update. Not that I doubt that they are sabotaging it, especially after Baldwin's statement.
Listened to an audiobook of this as I drove more than normal these past few days. Was surprised to find after that it has a bit of a Tumblr fanbase and even a TV Tropes page. But I welcome it, it's a really fun and interesting one that asks if a person can truly change who they are. #kidlit
"Between the Lions" had some... out-there ideas for inserts. This is freaking real.
I dunno if this is a hot take but: as much as Tim Allen IS Buzz Lightyear, in terms of the cartoon pilot movie, I actually prefer Patrick Warburton's performance. It simply fits the goofy, Saturday morning vibe it's going for much better - and frankly, Allen just sounds bored.
This day's been stressful for me, I need some of that sexually inappropriate, pre-Hayes Code humor.
For the record, if a big streaming service you're currently subscribed to is actively involving AI in their offerings & operations, I would REALLY second-guess keeping it around. I promise, if you pirate your shows, you aren't hurting the creatives any more than the system already is by this point.
I also want to mention how much of a W move it is for Finn to be voiced by a trans boy (Sasha Knight) here - and he does a dang good job in the part too, especially for one that feels virtually irreplaceable. Very akin to Zack Shada in the original pilot, in fact.
I won't say it demanded to exist, but "Adventure Time: Side Quests" is perfectly enjoyable & made by a highly talented group of people, & that's about as much as I can ask for. While mainline AT is living on through various miniseries, I think there is a place for it to embrace its silly side again.
Prometheus and Bob (from "KaBlam!") but only when something breaks or crashes the camera
Even the poster is shockingly very nice and memorable. Like dang, they actually have something like this in them.
Watching the "Among Us" series and GOD, this Owen Dennis writing is just oozing sheer bitterness, I LOVE IT.
"Witch Hat Atelier" is such a comforting show. Those string instruments go hard.
I drew a caricature of myself tonight. For an early attempt at drawing something with minimal references, I think it came out quite well. And I feel proud about it because I did it, out of a purely personal drive; a drive that - as Toon Brains says - the world needs.
Alright, I made it and am officially beginning #Momocon. Kicking off strong with a panel in about an hour. 👀
Edit with a high-quality version of the song I managed to find. Because I have been playing this on repeat these past two weeks.
Gonna leave @radrappy.bsky.social's full thread in here in case he doesn't crosspost this.
As far as pointless revivals/spinoffs go in an era overly packed with them, you can do a lot worse than "Regular Show: The Lost Tapes". Off to a fine if unremarkable and rusty-in-places start, with the first ep being legitimately gripping. If you're curious, I say it's worth a look.
Been a while since I knew about these restorations, but Cow & Chicken in full HD is still such a surreal yet cool sight.
I really can't recommend the Witchlings book series enough in these times. #kidlit
Practiced combining and modifying multiple references to draw a mother and daughter. 💚🤎
