Once, I was lucky enough to be in Lisboa on an April 25th, maybe eight or nine years ago. The streets filled with dancing, parades and people handing out red carnations. Why? to celebrate Freedom Day, a peaceful coup that ended the fascist dictatorship in Portugal on April 25th, 1974.
