Rilke was Rodin's secretary for about a year, was fired by Rodin, but when they made up circa 1908, Rodin was welcomed into a space that is now the Rodin Museum in Paris.
An object tells a story about Rodin's relationships. Kichizô Inagaki (1876–1951), Japanese sculptor/cabinetmaker, Parisian, made this walnut frame. Joseph Altounian (1889-1954), the dealer who helped Rodin acquire the limestone relief, which we can read about here: rodinsegypt.com/collecting

Politics makes strange bedmates; snow creates new food combos. Tiny tomatoes cut in half, sauteed in butter, oil, black pepper, with cubed sweet potato (YAM???? whatever!) It is not a recipe as such, more of a jumping off point. Add what you will. Serve on the good china. 🍽️🥰 Life is short.
