Does anyone have cleaning suggestions for @gamegenic.com deck boxes? I've gotten some pen ink on my Watchtower and I'd like to remove it.
I am not a graphic designer, but I spent an hour in Krita and I made this flyer for a magic the gathering event in November. It's not great but I didn't use the eco killing theft machine to make it and I'm proud of it
Time to get back to my route exploration rules now that Into the Oddish from @prismaticwasteland.com arrived!
Managed to snag the comics from my favorite authors @jimzub.com, @al-ewing.bsky.social and Michelinie, who is at my local shop signing things, so they were giving away trades of his recent lethal protector run. Comics rule y'all.
Waiting in line for #FreeComicBookDay up by Carol & John's Comic Shop. Picking up my pulls and hopefully the new fcbd Conan story from Grim @jimzub.com
Not in an major order, but some influential games on my life. my9games.com
Is Lay's on here? I got a bone to pick with them. Opened a small bag of chips, noticed it had very few chips in it and decided to weigh it. Dog 12 grams? That's less than half of what's supposed to be there
Seriously, if you're in Akron, Ohio next Saturday come play Premodern at Full Grip Games. It's a fun fan format with a lot of iconic decks & a bit of jank from 95-03 MtG. $30 entry, participation prize, gold border and proxy friendly. I'll have spare decks if we're friends & you want to try.
Deck pic from last night, list can be found here: moxfield.com/decks/NSlfo-...
My local Premodern Magic the Gathering group named ourselves the Akron Blackblades (After Dakkon Blackblade) because another format's crew had already stolen Akron Legionnaires. So we've been trying to come up with a logo for advertising events, making stamps, I made this up last night.
Dungeons and Dragons has meant a lot to me over the last 20+ years and while I've never played much 1e, this piece is so iconic I wanted it to represent what this game has meant to me.
2025 Award for Most Expensive Dinner goes to Beignet, who got into his sister's food and ate himself sick at 11:30 at night causing us to take him to the ER at 2:30am.
My puppy is in one of those playful toothy phases and while trying to correct him, I turned my back to ignore him and the little shit bit me on the ass!
So I never read the original Batman: Hush storyline, but Batman is doing Hush2, and so I'm reading it with like half the context. Last night I picked up one of the DC Compact Comics, a manga volume sized trade of a storyline, for Hush 1.
Chicken thighs with caramelized onions and bacon dressing is maybe a once a month dish at my house.
Hey instead of buying this so I can buy other games, hows about you buy these so I can pay for the $800 in medical bills I just got for my dogs.
The last guy, who I didn't play, was on some 3c+ WUB control deck. I saw Mother of Runes, Psychatog, and Meddling Mage. He split with my R1 opponent. I took 3rd.
No real sense of scale, and I'm not an artist but I've been building a campaign setting for my TTRPGs (different than Ashmore county, but I could drop it in there) using Tome of World Building, but one of the towns is built on a giant bridge, and I want to draw it.
Heading back to the eastern continent on the planet Batuu to make some trades with the locals and see if I can't find other resistance members... And avoid the First Order.
Went to Disney's Hollywood Studios today, and Batuu bounded (i.e. dressed up like I'm in a star war). It was a hot day, but weirdly enough pants helped a lot. I met Mando, Grogu, and Rey, and built a lightsaber.
Loved this article from @ceronomus.bsky.social about DCC Patches. I got a vest from a friend and started off by sewing one of the Goodman Games bags on as my back patch and I've been adding to it since, and there's always more to add! goodman-games.com/patches-of-t...
Clearly everyone was intimidated by the giant gavel, but next time we'll get participants in DJ Cudgel Up's last Memphis Crawl.
Finally settled on my Batuu bound for my upcoming trip to Disney World. It is giving sith vibes a bit, and it could use some greeblies, but overall I like it.
I had Nepali thali tonight for dinner and I was very intimidated by how I should eat it. It was delicious and I have half of it left.
My second dog Jock was not with us for long, so I decided to make sure he was with me always. RIP Jock, aka Corndog, Winnie the Poop, my squirmy wormy little boy.
Before this last weekend I had 1 magic card signed, my Prossh card for my commander deck. This weekend I added a few more from Larry Elmore (need him to sign a few more lol).
