I mostly post about records, bands I like and hiking. Any humor is usually intentional, but could be by accident. Pick whichever made you laugh more.
I've been going to more shows this year than any other time in my life. I try to stay in the moment and not be on my phone. That said here are a few times I decided to grab a pic and was really happy with the results.
One of my favorite new bands used a photo I took to promote their latest show so I guess I'm a live music photographer now.
I'm on my way to the Osees show at Pappy and Harriet's. If anyone else I know is going, let's hang out! If you're going but I don't know you, maybe this is where we meet and become friends... or mortal enemies!!!! Time will tell.
Earlier today I took the train down to Amoeba “just for fun.” Ended up finding a record I’ve been looking for since June for $5. Ran into the guitarist for one of my favorite local bands and told him how much I like his band and his playing. One of my best record store outings ever.
Sometimes you need to take a screenshot of a moment you've been waiting for for over a decade. @andysell.bsky.social finally sees my value on the latest episode of @youdontpod.bsky.social.
My brother just sent me this artifact from the late 1900's. It appears to a photo of a younger me smiling while a ghost me sits in boredom and judgment.
I’m back home for now. This record is spinning. There’s still a lot to sort out but I love that I can still get lost in a good record.
I summited Mt. Whitney again! I beat my previous time by over 4 HOURS! Also there is less of the sign and less of me than my 2024 summit.
Friend thought I had been using a filter on Instagram. Nope, this is me 50 pounds lighter than I was in 2023.
Sometimes you go to a show because it sounds interesting, different. But what you experience ends up being otherworldly and primal. The moments remain glued to your reality. You've been changed or is it altered? Whatever it is, you're unable to go back the world you once knew. All hail Ak'chamel.
Don't mind me, I'll just be over here thinking about this every day till Season 2 drops.
This is your reminder to forget staying in, go out and see live music.
This is the record I picked up yesterday. Dungeon Vision by Earth Tongue.
She said yes! And then in 2023 she said yes again when we got (re)married at Valley Relics Museum! That part was a surprise to her - it was supposed to just be an "anniversary party."
23 years ago I went to this show and asked this really cute girl if she wanted to hang out some time.
