This year marks our 6th Annual Pride Health Fair — a necessary act of political resistance in response to attacks on healthcare, LGBTQIA+ communities, and human dignity. As healthcare becomes unaffordable, this event remains a opportunity to provide care while building community power.

On Friday night, TAG stood alongside our partners at the @nycaidsmemorial.bsky.social for a candlelight vigil, rally, march, and die in. The event marked HIV/AIDS Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day and commemorates a solemn milestone: the 45th anniversary of the CDC’s first report on the epidemic.

45 years ago tomorrow, the CDC published a few paragraphs describing five cases of rare pneumonia among young gay men in LA. No one knew it marked the beginning of one of the deadliest epidemics in modern history. 🧵

Today, public health and HIV activists were arrested while interrupting Secretary of State Marco Rubio's speech at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing. Our message rang out loud and clear: "Rubio's cuts kill people with AIDS. PEPFAR saves lives."
