Recent beachcombing treasures including the perfect little red jasper (?) pebble. Then an enormous chunk of limestone spotted on a hike that sadly I was not easily able to take home.

New friend #invertebrates

I said a while ago (aloud and maybe even here but mostly to myself) that verts seemed ripe for AI use — “special effects,” idea generation, script churn — but this is even bleaker than I had considered. Grim! I wonder how it’s affecting other leading production markets.

Idk guys. You know I love the national parks but this feels ridiculous. I’m guessing this toddler isn’t attempting anything aside wanting naps and snacks between getting dragged all over creation by her parents.

We have cooked plum goo! Yay ✨

The Ghent Altarpiece by Jan Van Eyck. A multi-paneled polyptych portrays several figures of Christian importance, with the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb at its center. The painting is vivid and colorful, dominated by red and green, and the gold of the panel frames. The panels are enclosed in a protective glass room. Above the painting are stained glass windows with sunlight shining through them. You can view the piece from a bench within the darkened space and I sat on it for a long time and cried! :D

Thanks, me too! I went out and took a pic; the verbena has really filled in. The balm is doing a funny bloom on one side/ die off/ bloom on the other side which is funny. And as another nice little visual detail is the bee balm to the coneflowers connect in a triangle to my bright pink phlox. :)

Vivid pink must be a newer breakthrough color. I love planted bee balm in spring and some bloomed similarly pink! Which was a new color to me. 🌱
