Ann Darrow from King Kong, as a Fate Servant in a style similar to Takashi Takeuchi. She takes after the original novel's depiction, where she's a white blond woman with blue eyes and a white gown, which she wears toward the end of the book. An abbreviation of "Voice Operating Demonstrator," the Voder was made in the 1930s by Homer Dudley. Although the quality of its voice was primitive by today's standards, the idea of a "talking machine" would lead to devices like the IBM 704 that sang Daisy Bell, and software like TTS and Vocaloid.

Spearback is not only based on Nue from Touhou, but her yokai inspiration as well, also called a Nue. It's a sort of Japanese chimera with the head of a monkey, a tiger's body, and a snake for a tail. Spearback's double-pronged tail is meant to evoke a snake. (2/8)

And last but not least, The White Worm, The Lair of the White Worm Originating from a story by Bram Stoker of Dracula fame, the Worm is an immense creature that eats anything alive and might possibly be a descendant of dragons, but it is ultimately destroyed in a massive dynamite blast. (20/20)

Cerebex, Planet Comics #73 A massive robot powered by the brain of a dead dictator, it started creating an army of robots to take over the world, only being stopped by a guy who was aided by the dictator's daughter, in a rare instance of a PD kaiju with a connection to a human girl. (19/20)

The Monster, Gorgo #8 This shapeshifting beast got a whole issue to itself, never actually meeting Gorgo. It fed on fear, turning into many forms to terrify humans, from dinosaurs to Nessie and even Quetzalcoatl - but when it reawoke, it starved when people found it funny, not scary. (18/20)

Monster of the Mist, Web of Evil #4 A sea monster that acquired a taste for blood after being fed sheep in an attempt to placate it. With much struggle, the monster was eventually killed, but it left an egg, and to everyone's horror, the hatchling turned out to be equally bloodthirsty. (17/20)

Monster of Madness, Fight Comics #12 This one's basically just a big human. A boy was kidnapped by a mad scientist, who gave him a serum that caused him to become a giant menace. The premise reminds me somewhat of Frankenstein vs. Baragon, except that this guy is more of a tragic villain. (16/20)

Giant Swamp Spider of Venus, Weird Thrillers #1 A colossal alien spider from Venus that grows highly-prized Sandflowers to lure prey to their doom, especially humans. While our hero doesn't kill it, he does manage to severely burn it with rocket fire from his destroyed vehicle. (15/20)

Beast from the Deep, Tales of Horror #7 No, The Fog Horn by Ray Bradbury (the inspiration for Beast from 20,000 Fathoms) is not PD, but this comic, an unofficial adaptation, is. The comic's take on the monster is basically a theropod with webbed fingers/toes and a devil-like pointy tail. (14/20)

Venusian Terrors and Space Scourgers, Gorgo #10 and #18 respectively These two share the same spot because they have a fundamentally similar purpose: They're alien invaders who want to take over the world, and can grow giant-sized - somewhat like Viras, except they don't need to fuse. (13/20)

Dragons of Uuang-Ni, Konga #23 The cover makes it seems like there's only one of these creatures, but there's actually two, who live in a volcano a la Rodan. These two creatures terrorized an island, forcing the natives to evacuate, until Konga showed up to challenge them. (12/20)

Killer Goro, Weird Thrillers #3 A slightly mysterious monster we don't see the full body of, Killer Goro crashes the wedding between a mermaid and a surface man. While they manage to defeat him, Goro's death throes push the guy back to the surface. (10/20)
