Tucker

Tucker is a 3 year old Miniature American Shepherd. He is curious, contemplative, mischievous, and playful. Will comfort you if you sneeze. Fluffiest butt in town.
Wow! These zinnias have appeared right next to our parking spot at Tucker’s favorite walking destination!
A portrait of the artist with his masterpiece. Wet nose on auto glass circa 2026.🐾
“Walks” with Tucker are sometimes at a glacial pace. But he stays busy checking out our surroundings. Even when we don’t travel very far he’s good for a nice long nap as soon as we get home.🐾
Anytime we drive near dusk, I say to Tucker, “do you see any”? He knows just what to do. He’ll wake up from a deep snooze just to help me spot deer on our way home.🐾
Oh boy, Ned. Indy would not like this at all! That rabbit stayed close to my planter all evening. I’m pretty sure she has babies under my lantana. Tucker was way too interested.😬
He is strangely effective at chasing them away with minimal movement. But he does go nuts when they don’t just run away.🐾
We have the coziest front porch because we knew how much this guy likes to sit and watch the world go by. But someone *cough* still wants to lie on the driveway, instead. So here we are.🐾
He hasn’t forgotten his manners, of course. But, he’s a little disappointed with his evening snack. 🥕 🐾
This little nugget enjoyed a cool breeze on our walk this morning. Trying to wear him out early before a long night of sky booms. Stay safe, everyone! Keep collars and ID on your pups today!🐾
Tucker “the storm herder” is hard at work this morning, quietly growling and woofing at the thunder outside. Keeping us safe, as always.❤️🐾
We walked along the river but Tucker got tired of meeting all the dogs. So we crossed the street and he just sat next to these flowers for the longest time, watching all the people and dogs go by. I’m pretty sure this is his ideal scenario.🐾(🧵 4/4 )…
This restaurant was closed but he insisted on having a closer look at the foliage.🤣 (🧵 3/4)…
Great day for a walk!☀️ Tucker spent plenty of time sniffing all the flowers. (🧵(1/4)…
This classic memory popped up on my phone this morning. Miss my sweet girl, Maggie.❤️🩹
This morning, Tucker chased rabbits out of our yard and then sat quietly watching the hummingbirds at the feeder. We passed a family of deer on our way to this park for a morning walk. And, of course, his obligatory zen moment before we can get back in the car.
Eventually, he laid in the shade, surveying his favorite bit of land. And then he remembered I was there (and probably had treats). He snuggled up a little closer and we enjoyed just a few more peaceful minutes before starting our day. (🧵 4/4)…
He particularly enjoyed watching a fisherman today. We stood there for quite awhile until he decided it was time to move on. (🧵3/4)…
If you’ve followed Tucker, you know that in addition to the many stops to sniff all the trees we also stop often so he can just sniff the air and look at the land.🐾 (🧵 2/4)…
This morning, the only rule on our walk was that Tucker could sniff to his little heart’s content. It took longer than usual to make the loop back to the car. But the end result is priceless. Happy, tired, and perfectly content. This footage is from his obligatory post-walk moment of zen.🐾 (🧵1/4)…
The sleepy Friday dilemma. How to supervise when you just want to lay your head down for a minute.
Tucker was at my Mom’s with us today when we all huddled around her and waited (a few times) for an iPhone timer to snap a family picture. He was sooo pleased with himself, as if he had finally herded us all successfully. 🤣 I think he was gloating. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas.
