FTFA. See this is what people is going to pick up on not that magical and unique DLS funded by the beleaguered STFC. I am not anti AI but this bandwagonning really sucks the life out of everything cool and fun. Take the AI word out.
Male bias in male dominated field. Mostly no bias in female dominated field.
This obvious fact is so weirdly difficult to grasp. E.g. students are asked to fill up NSS scores, which are then used to rank the value of their own degrees! And yet the NSS questions are focused on “student satisfaction” as though as they are test driving a car.
I hope all the Liverpool fan/psychologists can put to rest their theories about how people can still perform at 100% after a devastating loss.
Nail biting race to see if we will see the first ever infinite ratio. Kudos to him!
The very basis of quantum computing and quantum information theory was built on the PPAN physics that the government is now cutting.
My students printed out my General Relativity lecture notes from a few years ago and made this cover for it!
During Covid we ordered stuff from the internet. As it turns out a 2.5l tin of sweetened condensed milk looks exactly the same as a 400ml tin online.
Also, the Tube map on is not the 1992 version, but look like the modern version : the Overground wasn't in the map at that time I believe?
I am in general sympathetic to the idea the lack of module choices is correlated with disengagement but i am not wholly sure this is all in the uni. Business student thinks statistic is boring and unnecessary…..
This is a brilliant article, pointing out Gen AI, the thing that unis rushing to embrace, is not neutral: it is a tool that has biases not just from training materia but from those who make them.
I think his point is that Lab’s obsession with immigration is both losing voters like you and not addressing the core economic insecurity of the “hero voters”. I read it as a repudiation of Mahmood’s strategy actually although obviously he can’t be too unsubtle about it.
I love this analogy. Productivity tools do not reduce work, it intensifies it.
It sounds to me like patients don’t have the knowledge to interact with LLM because they are not trained doctors.
