Chapter 20 was Viv’s salon. In one draft of the story, Auren and Viv became very good friends, but stayed as business contacts in the final version. I couldn’t find a way to fit their world views together where a true friendship would work super well
Chapter 19 was Val Royeaux and it’s honestly humorous how we see that a) Lavain was scared of strong women and b) Auren and Solas got to go shopping together lol
Chapter 19 and I found the two struggling with physical training to be both so funny and realistic because yeah they’re circle mages who’ve been on the road for two years? Why would they already be super physically fit?
Chapter 18 and I can imagine Solas just being so happy to learn that Auren isn’t Dalish (but it’s actually much worse lmao)
This is one of the scenes I read and regret changing the outcome of the story because I was originally MUCH crueler to these two than I was and would’ve made rereading this more of an emotional rollercoaster
I honestly love that I had Elisavet and Auren as minor characters in the DAII events cause then got funny scenes like this lmao
Honestly this whole scene was how I first processed everything when I played DAI for the first time which was “I don’t understand a thing”
Chapter 17 and ignoring spirit stuff, I really just enjoyed Elisavet saying what I wanted to say in DAI 😂
