I've not heard that before. This piece was a gift. I love it! Also admitting I have some other bird art prints and a painting my grandma did that are not hanging up at the moment.
A local artist here, Jan Brandt, made the most gorgeous piece of artwork in response to this Emily Dickinson poem. The original sold before she finished it, but she's selling prints, & the artwork is also printed on tote bags, aprons, & dishtowels. Here's it is on Jan's business card (on my fridge):

Sheri! You look great! I'm the mom of two sons & I kid you not, I once had roses in my hair to be Frida Kahlo for Halloween & neither of them said anything to me. Not, "You look nice," "That's pretty, Mom," or even, "Why?" Nada. My dad, "Who are you? A señorita or something?! At least he noticed!
