The beginnings of putting together a new jigsaw puzzle: the pieces have been poured into a big pile on one corner of a parquetry gaming table. Smaller piles of edge pieces etc. have started to be made at the other corners of the table.

Bird’s is unassuming from the outside, but beautifully designed inside — arty yet extremely cozy.

Some of the art books in the front room of Bird’s. All the bookcases are of medium-dark lacquered wood.

Finished the Montale (imagistic, masterful, weird), and now onto the little MACBETH project I hatched yesterday.

I read these two 20+ years ago and enjoyed both of them. (Time for me to reread them!) The first one suits sports fans better, but I think you’d find LIFE WORK relevant to your thinking about the craft of photography.

I don’t know that Fabio Silva will ever be a great striker, but he seems like a good kid — and one of the things I love about ⚽️ is that he’s all of 23 years old & playing in his SEVENTH country.
