So, Politico word an article about an elected official using money in a way they are allowed to use it, but won't go after the biggest drifter of all time and his entire administration and family?? Another MSM catering to the GOP and the rump. Our "news" outlets are useless these days.

How can anyone see what's happening & deny that he's taking us all down with him? He doesn't give a shit about any of us. We are toys to play with that help him get richer & when we don't help anymore we are disposable. No one except the uber wealthy is safe. No one. Maybe not even them eventually.

The average American taxpayer paid 8 times more for the Iran War than for a full year of food assistance. Your tax dollars paid for $4,049 worth of bombs, contractors, and weapons last year. They paid $124 for your kid's school lunch.

That is not a metaphor. That is the actual breakdown from the National Priorities Project's 2026 tax receipt, published this week.

The average American taxpayer funded $4,049 to Pentagon contractors, nuclear weapons, military personnel, and foreign military aid in 2025.

The same taxpayer funded $2,492 for Medicaid. $124 for school nutrition programs. $16 for the program that stops low-income families from freezing to death in winter.

The Iran war isn't even in those numbers. That started February 28th.

The first six days alone cost $11.3 billion, according to the Pentagon's own briefing to Congress. The daily burn rate is running at roughly $1 billion a day.

A Harvard professor at the Kennedy School published research this week saying she is "certain we will reach $1 trillion for the Iran war." For comparison, the Iraq War cost $2 trillion total and almost a decade.

Meanwhile, daily operations around Iran cost $59.39 million. That same $59 million, per day, could cover Medicaid for four million Americans.

Or SNAP for 9.5 million.

Both programs were gutted last July under the One Big Beautiful Bill, which stripped health coverage from an estimated 11.8 million people and put 5 million at risk of losing food assistance.

The top 1% got $1.02 trillion in tax cuts from that same bill.

Now Trump is asking Congress for a $1.5 trillion military budget, the largest expansion since World War Two, plus an additional $200 billion just for Iran. And he told an Easter lunch at the White House that the government cannot afford daycare, Medicaid, or Medicare anymore because "we're fighting wars."

They chose the bombs, then sent you the bill.
