I tell stories about your future. It’s not too scary, promise.😉 #Terrafide #scifi series More:
Night at the Hollywood Bowl with The Doobie Brothers and Santana. Good for the soul.
My daughter leaves a small handful of nuts on her balcony each morning for a mother squirrel. This is what happens if she forgets.
Bumblebee greeting me at the auto shop. Hopefully my repair more than meets my budget. 😉
Until we can skip around the cosmos and visit Earth-like planets the way we book resorts, I think the mystique surrounding space settlement is horribly misguided.
To promote my Terrafide collection, I spent a few days filming readings from each story in the desert. The clips are being added to my Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube accounts (@ucalthisreality), but I will also add to the thread here as they are posted. Enjoy!
‘The Harvest’ is a Godless Top 10. Who says sci-fi and extreme horror can’t mix?
COVER REVEAL & PREORDER I’m excited to announce the release of my first story collection! Terrafide: Tales from the Edge of Sci-Fi, Horror, & Humor is part Black Mirror, part Stranger Things, and part Saturday Night Live. Thank you to all who enjoy my work and order a copy.
A Waymo stuck an intersection. I thought, ‘What’s the worst that could happen if you’re trapped in a malfunctioning driverless car?’ The Harvest, a short story of 25 pages, took off from there. Check out my first stab at extreme horror available at @godlesshorrors.bsky.social. Enjoy the ride.
Buckle up. The Harvest, my first extreme horror story about a malfunctioning driverless car, is coming to @godlesshorrors.bsky.social on Friday, January 30th.
Everyone can see for themselves what happened, including the government’s response. Feel like our timeline is being managed by characters in a 1988 John Carpenter film. illegal aliens.
Seeing so many compelling satirical films this year—Bugonia, One Battle After Another, The Substance, and Opus—gives me hope that Hollywood is becoming more willing to evolve in its storytelling to capture niche audiences. The movie industry will certainly keep me tuned in 2026.
If you read The Harvest, and it messed with you, feel free to let ’em know. Thank you!
Every year my amazing mother gives a Christmas ornament to her three children, their three spouses, and to her 10 grandchildren. Each ornament reflects a major event for that person for the year. I believe this year’s ornament to Sage wins for funniest expression.
Today’s sunset reminded me of this quote: “The past was alterable. The past never had been altered. Oceania was at war with Eastasia. Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia.” - George Orwell, 1984
Greetings, friends. The Initiates, my young adult sci-fi horror novel, is on sale for Cyber Monday. Great stocking stuffer for reluctant readers who could use a safe, 100% natural thrill ride over winter break that requires absolutely no parental supervision!
My friend Trevor Simms has a new movie out about a homeless man who unravels a child trafficking ring. If you like flicks that are brutal, surreal, action packed, filled with troubled characters and unlikely heroes, check out T BIRD.
For all of you Angelenos stuck at home in the rain: My 18-page story about a driverless car gone awry will make you glad you’re not on the road today. Available in print, Kindle, and Kindle Unlimited. #scifi #horror #technothriller
L.A. is living up to its Blade Runner dystopian reputation today. All we need now are flying cars.
