Talk about a summer for the books – one filled with community and Jewish joy. 💙
The mobile library has been rolling up to some of our partner organizations like the Friedberg JCC, JCC of Staten Island, and Shorefront Y all season long, helping young readers discover new stories, take home free Jewish children's books, and celebrate the joy of reading together.

With our partners Shames JCC on the Hudson (pictured), Suffolk Y JCC, JCC Mid-Westchester, and Sid Jacobson JCC, 55+ adults enjoy engaging programming like mahjong tournaments, dance classes, art workshops, and much more.
Since August is #NationalWellnessMonth, it's a good time to highlight our VERVE program, through which older New Yorkers are building community, staying active, and making meaningful connections (all year long!).
#ShabbatShalom from Camp Zeke! 💙 Shabbat at Camp Zeke is a time to pause, reconnect, and celebrate the friendships and community that make camp so special. Wishing everyone a meaningful Shabbat.
#ShabbatShalom from Berkshire Hills Eisenberg Camp! 💙 Smiles like these are what Shabbat at camp is all about. At Berkshire Hills Eisenberg, campers welcome Shabbat with music, dancing, and the joy of celebrating together. Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend.
As temperatures rise again this week, no one – especially vulnerable seniors – should have to face dangerous heat alone.

From exploring vibrant cities like Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to hiking breathtaking landscapes, visiting the Nova Music Festival site, and so much more, every moment deepened their connection to Israel and their Jewish identity.
A group of 31 #UJAYoungLeaders kicked off their summer with a life-changing Zankel Birthright Israel trip filled with new friendships, reflection, and memories that will last a lifetime. 💙🇮🇱
Building bridges across communities starts with understanding one another. Through UJA’s CoLab initiative, Israelis from diverse religious and professional backgrounds come together to exchange perspectives and create meaningful change within their communities.
For Gayle, UJA-supported Mid Island Day Camp isn't just camp — it's home. From camper to director, she's now watching her own children thrive there – including her neurodiverse son through the camp's inclusion program.
Shabbat Shalom and happy (early) Fourth of July! Wishing you a joyful challah-day weekend as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary tomorrow. Here's to sunshine, weekend BBQs, and time with family and friends. 🇺🇸🌭
After returning from a moving visit to witness our work in Israel's south, our CEO shares that the hard work of rebuilding is rooted in "radical hope" — essential to the future of Israel and to America at 250. Read more: https://www.ujafedny.org/news/radical-hope
Pride doesn’t end when June does – it continues at camp. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ As camp season begins, we're proud to partner with New Country Day Camp, Camp Ga'avah, and 92nd Street Y Camp Pride, so LGBTQ+ youth can find community, embrace their identities, and experience the joy of Jewish summer camp.
As election week comes to a close, one thing is clear: it is more critical than ever to come together, raise our voices, and strengthen our advocacy for the Jewish community and Israel.

For many Russian-speaking Jewish adults, reconnecting with their heritage has been a journey years in the making. Thanks to our partner COJECO, a cohort of participants celebrated their Adult B’nai Mitzvah in a beautiful and moving ceremony – fulfilling a dream that once seemed out of reach.
Happy #FathersDay to all the incredible mensches out there helping raise the next generation – grandfathers, dads, brothers, uncles, and friends. It takes a village, and we're grateful for all of you. We hope you have a great day!
Happy #Juneteenth. Today, we commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. May Juneteenth be a moment of reflection and remembrance as we continue striving toward inclusivity.
On behalf of the delegation, our CEO, Eric S. Goldstein, thanked the Pope for his words reaffirming the need to fight against antisemitism and respectfully requested that he consider appointing a Special Papal Envoy to combat global antisemitism.
We're grateful to the Pope for recognizing UJA’s critical work supporting vulnerable populations of all backgrounds and for speaking to the urgent issues we care deeply about, including rising antisemitism and our shared responsibility to care for those most in need.
Yesterday was truly unforgettable. A delegation of UJA leadership met with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican.
Last night, nearly 3,000 people gathered for Israeli-American Night, hosted by our partners at Jewish Community Relations Council Long Island and Sid Jacobson JCC, for a celebration of Israeli heritage, culture, music, food, and community.
New York is celebrating – and so are we. 🏆 Mazel tov to the Knicks on a historic season! A championship decades in the making – and a day New Yorkers won't soon forget. 🧡💙
Freshly baked and ready for game 5. As we head into Shabbat, this challah is fully committed to the cause (aren’t we all?!). Shabbat shalom and let’s go, Knicks!
