Just want to say what a great visualization this hexmap of congressional districts is from @the-downballot.com Each district equal in size, so you can see the true balance of power more easily. Acres don't vote, citizens do.

Picked this album up at Encore Records. 53 years old and the vinyl plays as quietly as your new 180g record for half the price. A treasure.
It seems clear that it was an illegal order no matter what, which the admiral was required not to follow — the regs actually give killing shipwrecked sailors as an example of an illegal order.
Listened to the whole 90th anniversary box set. I thought the Brahms was exceptional, up there with Wand's cycle w/ NDR symph. The Schumann was also exceptional, and Beethoven pretty darn good. But only rn hearing to Bruckner's 3rd w/ London Philharmonic. Blow away. open.qobuz.com/track/62046425
