At 13:00 (UTC+1), the sunlight that passes through the center of the circle at the top of the totem marks a point on the slab that traces an elongated figure eight over the course of the year: the analemma. The zodiac constellations, days, and months have been marked. This is a solar calendar. 🧪⚛️🔭

The Star of Bethlehem. In Giotto’s fresco The Adoration of the Magi, the painter represents the star as a comet. Giotto was able to observe Halley’s Comet in 1301. This comet, with a period of 76 years, was alo observed in the year 12 BCE; therefore, it could not have been the star of Bethlehem🧪⚛️🔭.

Sciama... and so, in 40 steps, we arrive at Nasir al-Din al-Tusi. Many of us are descendants of Persian and Byzantine scholars!🧪⚛️🔭

Yes, you are right. In the Preface of the book we talk🧪 about science and truth: "Our “true” is just the ideas (theories, hypotheses, models and scenarios) that agree most closely with the results of observations and experiments" at a given moment. 🧪⚛️🔭
