I am finally here!!!! Yaaaayyy!!🤞🏻🤞🏻Divorced, looking for a second kidney donor as of May, 2026. Kitty mom to Berlioz and O’Malley… in NE Ohio again. Originally from NE Ohio. In California from 1997 to 2026.
Berlioz is finally mingling with us! He even let me get his picture…not an action shot this time. Of course, he’s just as adorable as ever.. ❤️🐾❤️🐾
My O’Malley, looking so adorable! She loves curling up with me on the living room chair when we’re watching TV. Meanwhile, Berlioz is really starting to come out of his shell and mingle with us humans. My San Diego cats are learning to like Cleveland. I told them they would.❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
TBT: 1990. When the kitten (Elwood) wanted to be part of my music experience... and when I had a hideous perm that made my hair look bigger than Elwood's entire body. Yikes!
Good news: Berlioz is finally starting to explore the condo, and he even plays (fights) with his sister O’Malley a little. Bad news: he’s still so skittish, he runs past us very quickly (thus this action shot), hoping we didn’t see him (though I usually do). He’s making progress, though!❤️🐾❤️🐾
To regain the trust of my two cats, I have decided to become one of them…even if it’s only during naps and at night. Will it work? Well, O’Malley trusts me, but Berlioz is still hiding under the family room couch, hoping I’ll think the couch is meowing.
When the human mom is away, the girl kitty takes her place- literally. My O’Malley, enjoying my side of the bed.. ❤️🐾❤️🐾
After feeding the cats and cleaning their litter box, I heard something in the family room downstairs. Either Berlioz is hiding under the couch, or the couch has learned how to say “Meow” with Berlioz’s sweet adorable voice- ❤️🐾❤️🐾
My O’Malley is starting to warm up to her new surroundings. Berlioz is still hiding, but O’Malley is up and about!❤️🐾❤️🐾
Our second day in beautiful Auburn Township, Ohio. Berlioz & O’Malley are still mostly hiding, though they did finally eat their dinner last night, and Berlioz found a new hiding place somewhere (inside, of course). They’ll get used to their new home. I’m already used to it, and glad to be back!
Well, despite the loss of kidney function, I somehow made it to my 56th birthday (today). Not sure if I will make it to 57 (next year)…but I suppose it’s possible..
Well, I am going to be honest here. I’m now on the verge of dying, of kidney failure. My transplant of over 15 years is finally beginning to fail. Transplants don’t last forever, but the timing of my kidney failure couldn’t have been worse. So, I will put this out there.
Awww, my Tabby is working on making me cry again. She likes sleeping on that file box, because it’s right by where her human papá’s bed used to be… and where she would snuggle with him. She must really miss him…as do I, for sure.
Berlioz and O’Malley are getting used to their new carriers that they will be in when we are on the plane, which will be soon. So glad to see they seem to like these comfy carriers!
My O’Malley and Berlioz! Cleveland-bound by the end of June, and looking forward to the move, although they may have to put me on the plane instead of me putting them on the plane. My overall health has gone down the drain since February, but I have to make this move ASAP, though I am exhausted.
My Berlioz, being such a sweetheart, giving his littermate brother Manny a kitty bath. That’s my boy, my Berlioz! And it didn’t even turn into a cat fight, because Berlioz isn’t that kind of kitty-brother. ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
Toulouse is back home too, at last!! He finally decided to come in the house yesterday evening. Something tells me that Manny and Toulouse like it in here, and they may be able to sense that rain is coming. Like other cats we’ve had, they don’t want to be out in the rain..
Our Manny, who finally came back in the house after almost a month..
Missing Toulouse and Manny. They got upset a couple weeks ago because their favorite hiding places in the house had just been taken away, so now they have decided to be outdoor cats, except that I haven’t seen Manny in 4 days now. Wish I could lure them back in..
TBT: 1) Twig, in 2009, with her oldest daughter, Felene. 2) Felene’s twin brother, Bo, in 2011- with an injured leg. He had to have his leg removed soon after that, but passed away a year later from kidney cancer.
It’s so easy to love these little darlings. First of all, their siblings all disappeared yesterday. Second, these two are sweet enough to stay with me in a separate room so they don’t disappear. Third, they are so darned adorable! (This is my O’Malley and Berlioz)❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
Brotherly love… Berlioz gives his sister O’Malley a kitty bath. Precious… Look out, Cleveland- these two little angels are going to capture your hearts!!❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
TBT: Twig, the mother of my Tony, Jerry, and Muppy. Twig left her earthly existence 9 years ago today, at the age of 17. I took this picture of her in 2010.
A little over 2 months, actually. One more month of no seizures, and I should be able to start driving again, as long as I feel okay otherwise.
A rare moment indeed: all four of our “surprise” kittens who were born in the garage here 4 years ago. L to R: Berlioz, Manny, Toulouse, and O’Malley. Helping their human mom recover from yet another pesky infection.
My twinsies- Berlioz and O’Malley. Taking a quick break with their human mom (me).
Toulouse wanted to come in here to snuggle with his brother Berlioz and me. How sweet!!❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
Now this cat is a genius! O’Malley’s sister, Tabby, got out through the garage door, that I had failed to close properly. Tab was the only cat who got out. I was concerned about her safety. But she was okay, and she actually returned on her own and asked me to let her back in the house. Wow!
Look up…. No… Waaaayyy up. Yup. There she is- my O’Malley girl. She’s become really fond of getting up on that top shelf, right by the ceiling, like her younger brother Cheddar has done so many times.
Well, I am not epileptic, and besides, the seizure I had in December was caused, supposedly, by a bad reaction to an antibiotic (Ertapenem). So, I am a little over a month seizure free now. Two more months, and hopefully I can start driving again. And hopefully no more seizures, ever.
