TL;DR
TailTag is a vibecoded mess of an app and accompanying backend.
Everything you have ever uploaded to TailTag, regardless of your public/private visibility, is publicly accessible in full.
A bad actor could, in theory
- Send push notifications to anyone, at any time, as much as they want, with whatever text they want, with delivery receipts.
- See every photo you have ever uploaded, all text you have ever written, any connection you have ever made, any achievements you have ever been granted. Literally any bit of PII data (besides your password).
- Receive live updates for any data on the app, essentially allowing them to see all happenings in full and in real time.
- Map social circles and view catch images which may reveal a suiter and/or player's location.

For me, going back to the old folklore is a way in, because you're going to find different stuff - the tropes aren't the same tropes that are so tired that they've become clichés. So that in and of itself gives it some freshness. I've also struggled with the creature, because it's difficult in monster movies to make the
monster convincing. I think that's another pitfall of werewolf movies - they either look like guys in suits, or they look like CC. Are you willing to go along with that, knowing that they look seriously fake, or not? One of the best horror movies - and monster movies - of all time, is the first Alien, where it's about the monster being a mystery and in the shadows.
