Since I don't have a job (YET!), I have been baking for the past few months. E.g., I love focaccia, and it is the simplest recipe ever! We have it every week now. No matter what I make, I have found that these simple spatulas make everything easier. I use them all the time. 😍

Illinois Primary Election Day lined up with my college kid's spring break. ❤️ In elem & mid school, I would take him with me early am when I voted, and we would go to a local cafe for bfast before taking him to school. 2026 - I'll appreciate the little things. We just spent New Year's Eve in Tampa because my mom (who passed in '22) convinced my son to play the trumpet (like his uncle) when he was in 5th grade (2014). The fun road of Marching Band led my son to playing at the Reliaquest Bowl this year. Go Hawks!
As an Iowa UofI fan, I am beyond shocked at the lack of fans at the Illinois UofI game today! Where are all the people?! They aren't at Gies Memorial, that's for sure. We had a game last year against Nebraska and it was 20° at kickoff in Kinnick. After halftime, the stadium was still half full.
🫂I have a ceiling fan and a woozoo (lvl 4) on my face. Hubs and I have to sleep in different rooms. My room is the coldest in the house: still sweat. One of Amazon deals is on the Rest Evercool comforter. Got it yesterday. I love it. It has felt like cool water all night. 100% recommend.
Work sent my personal effects from my cubicle. 10 packages! Full of the organizational and fun personal items I surrounded myself with to keep me smiling at work. I don't think they will serve that purpose anymore. The first and last time I keep so much of myself at work. Being laid off sucks. 🥲

Aldi - North Chicagoland Division - Batavia. Anyone in the Chicago suburbs know which Aldi stores are the largest in this area? Customer service said they don't have that information. The few I have been to seem pretty small. corporate.aldi.us
