On stage at the Nashville, West Kensington, 1977, with Ziro Baby. That was a great venue to play and I also saw a lot of terrific bands there - the Zones, Madness, The Mekons, Skids, many others. Good times

In the 1960s in New Zealand we got no World Cup coverage at all and when Goal! was shown, one night only, in Wellington High's school hall, supporters came along with banners and rattles and cheered their team's goals as if it was live. It was a fantastic night out.
In the 1960s, Decca had their beautifully recorded Phase 4 Stereo range and EMI countered with their Columbia-released Studio 2 Stereo series. This is a UK 14 track sampler for the range. Total Sound! Yeah!
The inner sleeves of sixties LPs are often more interesting than the outers. This is from HMV, Wellington, mid-sixties. Lovely TVs, fabulous radios and record players - not to mention the white goods. Quality products for a lifetime of satisfaction (or so it says here)

Sometimes album titles are changed for different territories - for example, Split Enz's "Waiata" was renamed "Corroboree" in Australia..I've always felt that, in Ireland, this Iggy Pop classic should have been called "The feckin' eejit".
Fabulous sixties popsike from the legendary Hi-Revving Tongues; contains their classic 'Tropic Of Capricorn', the phase-drenched masterpiece 'Elevator' and much more. The shirts may not have aged well but the music certainly has.

I know it's unlikely but if the All Whites manage a shock win over Belgium tomorrow it will set up a classic trans-Tasman clash with Australia in the round if 32 - and wouldn't that be something!
