A snippet from a May 21, 2017 Wired article entitled "Get Ready for the Next Big Privacy Backlash Against Facebook."

The 2-paragraph snippet states: "But earlier this month, The Australian uncovered something that felt like a breach in the social contract: a leaked confidential document prepared by Facebook that revealed the company had offered advertisers the opportunity to target 6.4 million younger users, some only 14 years old, during moments of psychological vulnerability, such as when they felt 'worthless,' 'insecure,' 'stressed,' 'defeated,' 'anxious,' and like a 'failure.'

The 23-page document had been prepared for a potential advertiser and highlighted Facebook's ability to micro-target ads down to 'moments when young people need a confidence boost.' According to The Australian's report, Facebook had been monitoring posts, photos, interactions, and internet activity in real time to track these emotional lows. (Facebook confirmed the existence of the report but declined to respond to questions from WIRED about which types of posts were used to discern emotion.)"

There are truths hidden in old myths. Giving power to a person or entity by naming them is one. Especially true in the realm of social media, where even hate-posting about a person gives them more popularity via metrics. Please consider not voluntarily giving them more power.

More examples from just *one* easily identifiable network. And, yes, all of the examples are different accts (and they're just a few from a fairly large network). I documented a bunch more but hopefully this is enough to give you the idea. Your platform is already flooded. Please do better. /End

2 different, fake accounts from the same network--posting the same pictures and same text from the individual accounts.

While you're attempting to squelch fires, you should consider that a bunch of those 12M are fake accts from fake networks. Many are easily identifiable (see examples) & many are already posting political content while falsely inflating metrics (including yours). E.g. of easily identifiable: 1/

We could play spot-the-tells on why this account is clearly fake ... but this is exhausting. Just, please, pay attention to your follows/following. (Yes, I reported the account ... hopefully BlueSky will be more interested in getting rid of fakes than the hellsite was.)

1. Misspells Harris's last name
2. Handle misspells "supporters"
3. It's following over 41 thousand accounts with only one post on the account. It already has almost 9 thousand followers.

Yep. If anyone wants to see them, I've included some screenshots below. Nuhre has been trying to monetize for yrs. She tweeted pro-drag, pro-trans in the past. Then, with DAV, she ran w/ far right talking points & was boosted by rat-guy (Asmon). She's been riding his coattails since.
