Chicken and Sausage Gumbo Enjoyer
@vought
Software quality and security person. Avid airplane and car enjoyer. Western Nevada. Goes camping in the desert at least twice a year. Loves his dogs and cats, has too many things on his plate. Lives in a shack in the woods.
I’d like to offer these photos as proof of the functionality, aesthetic appeal, and overall bad assness of the car, Which is currently in about 300 pieces. Perhaps if you all close your eyes, cross your fingers and wish, I will get it finished this week.
I’ve been looking at this for two weeks now, and I’m about done.
My dog, Lily, has been with me for 13 years and this weekend I took her to Ocean Beach. I realized it’s been A decade now since she’s been to the beach, and I think she had fun with her buddy Eno. I think we’ll make it a habit. Enjoy the last photo. It’s from her first trip to the beach in 2013.
Hell, yeah, that’s the stuff right there. Driven by an older man who appeared to be of Japanese descent. You know that he loves this car intensely
Guy writes for who, now? These are all Google ads, by the way.
No arguments here, and those cars are sweet to drive. So many poorly kept examples, but this BRG I saw in SF was -immaculate-. I left a note.
My dog has declared a cease fire with Iran, @darthbluesky.bsky.social .
Damn. Didn’t know mah own strength. Never even cared much for the car, though it’s distinctive conservatism was impressive in a Japanese M5 sort of way. Of all of the cars that shipped impressive pearl white paint, Mitsubishi and Audi probably did it the best during this time period.
I didn’t see the fireworks In downtown Reno, but I do see the smoke From several miles away.
@ianboudreau.com has me back on my 1995 bullshit again. Perhaps I’ll even try the new one out. I’ll be back when I’m done with Durandal.
Musk-lover Eric Berger suddenly discovers that getting past the atmosphere is really, really difficult, and maybe NASA wasn’t wasting time all those years. What a willing rube.
After STS-122 launched a bare three miles away in Feb. 2008, NASA’s base security UH-1 landed right near the media complex next to the VAB. Yep. That’s a minigun. Basically a Huey slick with a door gun. I imagine today they use drones or some other form of surveillance.
My 26-year-old car’s Mulroney sheet. Quaint fuel cost number. I don’t drive it much but I’m sure I put more than eleven tanks a year (current gasoline cost against the 2000 yearly fuel cost estimate) through it.
When column inches are free, everything is news. 1. Go outside after 8pm local. 2. Look up.
My superhero name is “The Quail”, for my super cowlick, seen in this photo. I protect wildlife With my “Hood of Protecc” and say angry white guy things to people who look like me when they are mean to animals.
This is how I celebrate America. Hydrocarbons and popsicles. Also, a concrete saw
Friend is in another country; you can probably guess which one. @victoriascott.bsky.social can you help me ID this thing shot near Shinjoku? You’re my go-to expert on this sort of thing.
Hopefully arrested at landing. This is black letter illegal and should mean the end of this pilot’s cert. $100m airplane at 250 knots easy, six feet from a fireball.
Not just stupid, but illegal. Someone else’s $100m aircraft and they almost binned the entire thing starting with the right wingtip. Texas, of course. It’s the new Mojave Valley -and- Redstone Armory, apprently. www.reddit.com/r/aviation/c...
Having way too much fun with this. I’m in my mid 50s and I’ve loved Doctor Who for over four decades. This is fun.
