Displace car trips with solar-powered* e-bike trips. E-bikes make their own breeze; when not forced to pedal hard, the induced breeze is nice even at 90+ F. An e-bike requires so little energy that it can be recharged in a day by a single, portable 100W solar panel. Plus they’re relatively cheap.
This Memorial Day feels a bit more fragile than in times past. Kids are playing with the hose in the yard and it’s so, so sweet. Cherishing the moment all the more because freedom feels uncertain, and who knows what comes next?
I don’t know how people willingly listen to that stuff and still live with themselves. Reminds me of Arendt:

Does anyone remember this guy? Edmundo Gonzales Urrutia. The people of #Venezuela elected him in 2024 to be president but Maduro corruptly held onto power. This is who should “run” Venezuela. Americans need not apply.
