Ant went with Roddy White of the Falcons but there's really only one NFL comparable about a time when a player secured the ball in a game-saving weird way ...
Last year I read a predictions roundup and every single analyst picked L.A. Every one. This year the tally on ESPN was 15 to 1. Sheesh. I get that the series isn't over, and I get that the Wolves frustrated during the year, but does everyone just forget how we did in the last two first rounds?
I had the Bourdain mortadella sandwich for the first time on Monday and proceeded to eat it every day this week for lunch. I imagine Tony occasionally ate other things. But goddamn.
I'm currently at 73 percent according to my Kindle but I can't get to it for a few hours, which will leave me about two to finish. I think I can do it; it's a terrific read. Wish I could sip and savor but I dawdled. And sadly this isn't my first time playing beat the library clock. Anyone else?
I love thinking of Robert Duvall living with Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman in NYC when they were all broke stage actors. I mean goodness.
Inspiring scene at Joyce Uptown Food Shelf this morning. So many donations! Grateful to those volunteers meeting neighbors on the sidewalk in five-degree weather.
Pupusas from Mercado Central. Sweet mother of jesus. How delicious. I would go to El Salvador for pupusas like these but I don't have to because they're in Minneapolis. For now. Support our restaurants!
Loving this Chaulafan dish from Cocina Latina on 37th and Nicollet. Great Ecuadorian food. Support Mpls restaurants!
Birria tacos courtesy of Homi Restaurante Mexicano in St. Paul. No lie, maybe the best tacos I've ever had. I mean damn.
Far be it from me not to stop by Afro Deli for a lamb-gyro chapati wrap for lunch. Delicious!
A couple years ago on another platform I asked if any director has had a run of consecutive brilliance like this. One friend suggested Billy Wilder. Another Hitchcock. Yes and yes. But is Reiner spoken of like they are? No. He should be. I love all these films, made in just eight years.
"Central to San Diego FC's crest is 'The Flow,' comprised of 18 lines representing the 18 communities of San Diego County." The Flow? If there is one thing it does not have is good flow. And those 18 lines represent communities? That's the dumbest shit I've ever read.
