Oh, yeah! That's on the "old" Belt Line! Ages ago, C&EI (or E&TH) added a branch line, in town(!), to pick up all of the business along Morgan Ave. Across the street, about where the Humane Society is, was Evansville Packing. Further West, was Igleheart Mills => General Mills Jell-O productions.

Two score and 10 years ago, a special visitor came to town. Tales are told about it being on display "downtown" for a number of days before continuing on it's way. I didn't get to see it, but it was supposedly in the remnants of the old C&EI yard, from the area description, by those who were there.

Well, that's curious. I have no reference for the I. S. BR. R.R. This is the first and only time I've even seen it anywhere. I'm guessing a branch line off of ... I don't know what. St. Louis and Southeastern was in Mt. Vernon, IN, and was acquired by L&N. No real reason for a separate branch line.

P.S. the screws are long enough to grab the track *from the bottom*, when the surface board is ⅛ inch. (See photo.) If you want to go from the top, these are the ones you want. Going from the bottom, they poke through a bit. #0 x 3/8" Truss Head Sheet Metal... www.amazon.com/dp/B01CTEF0A...

I know nothing of your Dr. Yellow Jr. Is the long hood side the same as the 3-axles? Is the track flat across the join? What's going on "here" (see screenshot); is it getting caught on the frog?

A yellow circle highlights what may be a difference from the other end. It may just be the angle, but *looks" like there is something sticking out, there.

Happy that it works, because the yard is cut into 6 segments, and I got my (DC) wiring correct on the first try.😂 DCC control can be seamlessly attached, by connecting all of the power leads together. (Video at 4×)

Thanks!☺️ It's a 180° rotated, *very* compressed (almost to the point of mockery) version, of the ≈1911 C&EI yard in Evansville, Indiana, formerly the E&TH.

AnyRail design for the track set on the OP. The top left has been modified from 3×29mm to 45+38mm. A two-stall engine house will sit there. On the far right of the companion module will be a paper craft replica of the passenger terminal. The area where it would sit is 124mm, so that the yard can be extended.

It's several months till the next show, and (I think?) I have all of the needed track to begin my selectively compressed yard/station pair of doubles. So, it begins....

I was looking for some info on the Peoria, Decatur, & Evansville RR (which became IC after bankruptcy), and stumbled across this photo of Decatur's Union Station. That's certainly a crossing, right there....

A *good* crimping tool is worth the money. You don't need the inventor model, but one with compound handles (for linear crimping vs. angular/rotational) and staggered jaws for mechanical and electrical crimping in one go is totally worth the cost.

I bought the one on the right, first, for about $14. After struggling with it for several months, I spent another $27 for the one on the left. That $13 difference is astonishing, and a lesson learned.

Nothing much exciting going on lately. Reworking the track on some modules, and "painting" the rails with Super Blue. I should have tried to get this done before I left for work this morning. The rails would most certainly be dry, by now....

Been waiting for an "official" answer.☺️I've seen similar on Etsy and Amazon, but I like the sizing of the rugs and coloration on these better. The weird lines on the rails over the sleepers are a bit ... weird, though.

Train show was rough. I didn't expect much Friday, because people have school and jobs. It was ridiculously slow. Saturday was nuts! I was done after about 2 hours. This is the only opportunity (Friday) I had to take a photo. I should have grabbed some shots of the layouts, but I'm silly.🤦

One of the great feats of the Louisville, New Albany, & St. Louis RR is the Duncan Hill Tunnel. It bankrupted the railroad several times. Southern acquired the route in 1901; Norfolk Southern owns it now. I can't begin to guess how many times I've passed over this, unaware of its existence.
