This is the downbeat moment of the premiere of my trumpet concerto. When I think back to 17-year-old-me, a trumpet player who only dreamed of a life in music, I could never have imagined this incredible moment. I’ve been knocked down a lot on the way. But I’ve always stood back up. You will too 🙂
