Tried to get into Shakespeare's Pub at around 11:15, after soccer. They opened at 8. They were doing a head count to see if they still had seats and then it would go to SRO. Half a block down the street is the Regal Beagle. It opened at 11:30. We are the only ones here currently, but we are seated.

Toured the unconsecrated Mormon temple. I actually went years ago when it was first built, before it was consecrated. Recently they renovated so before it is re-consecrated, the public gets a chance to see it. All I remember from last time was how cold and sterile it was. Still is!

Did not make it to the art section this year. My friend’s sister has a sore ankle (6 weeks post sprain) and then there’s me, so we were sore hobblers. But we did make it to the pro woodworker section. Amazing stuff as usual.

Spent about 4 hours at the Del Mar Fair today. The theme was Once Upon a Fair, but local dairy history was highlighted in the critter barn, including a focus on pasteurization.
I thought that Max Muncy thing couldn't get weirder, but I was wrong.
Stewie stopped using his litterbox. I thought it was too high for him, so I set out a cookie sheet covered in litter, with mixed results. Now I'm just putting down puppy pads covered in litter. He is moving around a lot less now, but still loves his food. He's 11. He's mostly ok, but he's declining.
